I have the rolling code thing as well. Ours works like yours did at first, We have to hold the homelynk button for a second or two for the garage to activate, not sure if the delay is the codes are trying to match or what, try holding the button a little longer and see if that helps

It worked when I got home yesterday (Without re-programming it). When it wasn't working, I did hold the button in for about 3-5 seconds, and nothing.

Maybe I'll try programming one of the other 2 buttons. Did anyone have any luck by only holding down the cars remote button (Until the red light indicated a go), then pushing the old hand held remote button (1-3 inches away from the cars button)?

Usually if it works twice in a row it picked up the rolling function.

Not that it's a HUGE deal to have the garage door opener in the console, but does anyone know if the Homelink can be added those cars that did not come with it?

My Pilot has Homelink, and it's nice to have. When I programmed it, I could not get it to work even after following the directions in the manual, something like hit the learn button on the opener and then hit the button in the truck. I had to get the Homelink to learn the signal from the garage door remote opener and then I synced it with the actual opener in the garage.

Update :

It's still working great, and it was easier to program than the Tahoe, just used the remote like the manual said to unlike the Tahoe where I had to use the learn button on the garage door opener and run back and forth between the car and the opener ... lol. Although I do have to say that the button in the Tahoe works better, it's a little more sensitive I guess, it seems like we really have to mash down on the one in the Camaro to make it work.

I've been holding the button in pretty firm for a few seconds and its been working now. On my SS Impala, I only have to just barely touch it and it works.

I have a brand new garage door opener and my only problem is that I have to hold the universal remote button in the Camaro down for like three full seconds before it will open/close

My wife did it herself. She did say the left button did not work but when she used the middle one it did without a glitch.

I couldn't get it to work. I press the learn button then hold the button down in the car and nothing happens. I probably did it 10 times on different buttons.

Same here, I've reprogrammed that damn thing more times than I care to count. It'll work 3 or 4 times, then its over. I've resolved to just carrying the opener that came with the garage door.

I tried it last weekend... I have a Genie too! But it doesn't look old. Well my buddy is coming over tonight to help me with the Homelink, if we figure it out, I'll let you know badkarma.
