lol got 'em!

No way i'm fed up. I just don't wanna wait, but I will because it'll be worth it! The only thing that I see that keeps me from getting this car is if the price tag is too high or if there's dealer mark up..

What does only being a member here for a few months have anything to do with it? Does that mean I just started following the camaro? Thanks for the flame guys just frustrated that's all. Guess you can't state your opinion here?

Was talking to a buddy today and mentioned I was ordering a ZL1, he went on to tell me his neighbor has been on that project since day one. He told me one day his buddy called and said all he did all day was burnouts. They were trying to break the rear end or driveshaft. He said the supplier was there and they wanted to make sure this could drag race all the time. I don't think there are going to be any worries on buying the first year at all. It's not like this is a brand new car. They are just beefing up what ever they need to, to make it stay together. I can't wait to get it.

No worries man... post away your opinions... not bashing because you signed on 3 months ago BUT this site is WAY ahead of the game if you haven't noticed by now. Most of us are getting used to the waiting game because we find out stuff super early and then have to wait for true confirmation.

Hang in there...

I'm bracing for news that my dealer may not get any on the first round of allocations. However, since this is one of the few PA dealers who can order/sell the Volts, I have my fingers crossed. Apparently I'm the only one in the area besides the dealer and someone else who have heard of the ZL1 and are in for it. The first 2 are taken (obviously 1 for the dealer owner and 1 for someone else) then me.

I kinda feel you dude...I've been snooping around here since January but I just joined...I just read all the info up until now. But it does get somewhat taxing sifting thru the info to determine if it's BS or truth, I think that's the frustrating part you're trying to vent. I mean everytime somebody speculates the car costing $60k+ I get kinda pissed off at them for speculating so high but the real reason is if the car is that much I won't buy it. Chevy has always been known for VALUE PERFORMANCE w/ the corvette and camaro so I'm sure that will remain true w/ the ZL1

Bottom line is I will continue to wait unless the MSRP is retarded (my dealer has promised me an MSRP sale )

I really think a ballpark price should have been posted in time for this 1st round of ordering. You should also be able to order the car with a 1K non-refundable deposit at ANY dealer. It should not matter if the dealer has an allocation or not. If that dealer has a customer that is giving his word he will buy a ZL1, and puts down a deposit then sell the damn thing!

As far as price with no options very high 50's fully loaded mid 60's. Where do I get this reason from you ask? Well Chevy sells Tahoe/Suburbans for 60K all day long. I don't think they will have a problem asking 60K for a ultra rare super performance car. They ask families to drop 60K on a large SUV with gas being what it is, and large SUVS on the decline. What makes you think they will not think twice about asking at least that for the ZL1?

No matter what this is going to be a great muscle car, and people will find the money to buy it. I am so glad I am living in the second go round of the horsepower wars!

True said... it's a bit to swallow paying for two Base SS's to get one ZL1, but what's a guy to do?

Personally, I think it's rather gutsy ordering a car without a clue how much it's gonna cost...if that doesn't make you feel alive there probably isn't much else that will in common terms...talk about a leap of faith! As a wise man said...keep the faith!

Well with any luck both dealerships where i currently have deposits will get allocation and I have been thinking of using both have a ZL1 stock and one will take a trip to Lingenfelter?

2 of them would be cool dont ya think?

If im lucky, Ill find a 2010 ABM A6 for my wife, and I wont trade in the corvette. Ill just build the Camaro

Love you the original poster is acting like people aren't going to be able to get their hands on a ZL1. If they sell out quick they will produce more! It isn't going to be a limited edition. Worse comes to worse get a 2013 big deal.
