Release Date?
Sorry if this has been mentioned before but any guesses on when the 1SS 1LE will be available? I'm seriously considering it over a 2SS atm. Don't get home till about September hopefully it'll be out by then?

My best guess would be dealers start taking orders Nov. - Dec. 2016 and production starting in Jan. - Feb. 2017

Don't new models start showing up in the fall? So wouldn't the 2017's start hitting the dealer lots sept-oct this year.

They said on the GM press release "forth quarter of 2016". That should mean sometime in Oct/Nov/Dec...
Now, as far has when they can take orders, not sure. That depends on a few things, when will prices be released, when will it and the options be added to the system, etc, etc...I would guess you should be able to order one around June or so. These cars seem to only have two options, nav, and the PDR. So chances are very good your dealer may have, or be able to get from another dealer what you want and save you the wait. As the exterior color is the only real thing you can choose from. |

I just really hope that a dealer around me will have one of the lot as soon as they're available that I can sit in. Unlike the non 1LE Camaro, I don't think I would order this without sitting in the seats for a few minutes to make sure that I can be comfortable in them. In the 5th Gen, did dealers have any of these in stock or were they almost all customer ordered?

Timing appears to be set up just like last Gen's, from what Al O said. They were available for order in the early summer and the first ones were delivered around October 2012 if memory serves. Al O did say they would be available by Fall of 2016. This is not a 2018 model, they will be out this year.

Best estimation would be late 4th quarter of this year. AKA November.
