Decisions? Buy my old 69 SS Vert or get a 2011 SS Vert?
I have an opportunity to buy back my 69 SS 350 convertible that I had back in the 80's and sold in 92. The wife said go ahead but she also said that I could get a new 1SS Vert. The 69 will be about 15K less than a new one. If I get a new one my 95 Bird convert has to go but if I get my old 69 I can keep the 95. Thoughts?

'69, it'll be worth more than the 2011...maybe trade in the '95 instead, imo.

I'm leaning toward keeping the 95 as I have a soon to be 15 year old son and think he needs to have a nice summer cruiser. It has depreciated as much as it will and can only go up. It looks showroom new. I ran the numbers and it is a 1 of 358 produced so it is a rare bird.

I say go new. it's more fun to make new memories than relive old ones!

That is what I was going to do last fall. Had a 1SS on order but had to cancel it due to me having knee/shoulder surgery at the same time. Now that the bills are paid and I'm all better I don't know what the hell to do. Wife says do what makes you happy. Well, keeping my 95, reacquiring my 69, and getting an 11 would make me happy. Not happening though. May get the 69, and find a used 11 at the end of the summer or next spring and dump the 95.

Have you driven a new one? I think that will help you decide.

Get the 69 back. A new 2011 or even 2012 will always be available, but the 69 is getting tougher to come by every day.

Man thats a hard one, the 69 will most likely be worth more but you have no idea what that guy could have put some weird stuff on it. But a new vert would be so fun to drive. Also its way easier to just hope in your new vert and go., cause i know that old cars can some times have carderater problems and starter problems trust me ive been helping my dad on his GTO (1971)
