You could try resetting the battery/codes that may have popped up by disconnecting the battery for a while like any other problem and see if it clears up... Many of us have the four pack of gauges and keep a eye on the other temps more than coolant. You supercharger being a giant heat sink I am sure does not help either, I have removed long ago the center section of hood weather stripping by cutting it with a xacto knife and recommend this old school mod to everyone even here in rainy Oregon where its 101 right now...

I live in hotter than hell Texas and my coolant temp never gets above 200. See mods below.

did a cold start today and engine temp went to 190 in about 5min with no cross flow in radiator or lower hose but flow from top hose.it was a bad t-stat, stuck closed blocking flow. got it on order now will update when i get it swaped out.

i never got any code, hottest i saw was 255. i use a ecu piggyback with a alarm system to let me know if any temps get to high so i dont have to really watch any of my gauges,and have a aftermarket hood with heat extractor so that kinda helps.
