just installed CAI (brand) not noticing power increase

well i just installed the CAI, and it took an hour. also did a fuse pull for about 2 hours. then drove it, did not notice any power increase. does it take time for the computer to 'learn' ??? did not get a CEL. any thoughts?

Others on this forum have noticed an increase in power with their butt dyno. After spending $400 it is only natural to pull horsepower out of your ass.

The increase is only a few horsepower at the wheels you won't feel it

You need to install a locking fuel door before you will feel the extra power.

Power increases on cold air intakes are overrated when your car is stock. The only time they are beneficial is when you add serious power increases (cam, heads, full exhaust, etc.)
With that said, I got my SLP intake simply because it cleans up the engine compartment. The stock intake with its silencers is ugly.

Or a few window stickers. Each one is worth 10-15rwhp each!

On a 400 hp beast, it will probably be difficult to feel 14 hp. It's there, though.

well we have drove about 150-200 miles today, all over town. i think it is louder(we always drive with the windows down). the butt-o-mometer might be reading a slight increase...but i will have to drive it more to see. maybe the computer is learning. i noticed a similar phenom. with the flowmaster AT. it sounds way better now then when i had just put it on.
