Let's Count How Many Convertibles have been ordered

It's not very cold everywhere. Yesterday it was about 76 and today it should get into the low 70s here in Austin,Tx This would be great weather to drive around with the top down.

Since I started this thread I thought it would be nice if I was the 100th post on it. Looks like lots of verts ordered in all different styles and colors. I was thinking mine would be in around March but it may be Feb so I may need to keep it out of the snow for a while.

I wish all my camaro and vert friends all the best new year for 2011! Drive safe.

Yeah-mid 70s in Fl too... woulda LOVED havin mine for the trip to the gym today... great cruising weather for a vert! 10 more days till production!

Fortunately I have the 2LT RS CGM to help the wait and I'm not sure what to do with it when the new one arrives.

I first went to the GM/Camaro website (I don't have the address handy, but its where you can "build your own" Camaro, etc...) there's a chat/service option. After a grueling message battle with them (polite, but couldn't answer anything that wasn't already outlined in the site) they gave me the number to GM customer service. Im not sure if that's the original number, or the call back number my rep (Josh) gave me, but that's where they called me.from each week with my updates. I really think he was able to speed up my dealer allocation; or else it was just a really huge coincidence my order magically went through as soon as they got involved. I know he called my dealer direct (which they weren't too happy about) but in the end, my orders moving along now!

Almost forgot... I just explained my situation, that I didn't understand why I preordered a car and watched others order after me progress, while I was stuck.at 2030, and what that status meant exactly. He was extremely helpful, explained the status and allocation process and got the ball rolling.

Thank you for the info. I called today and talked to a Call Center Guys - didn't know jack. Everything I was explaining and asking he was typing into a computer (I could hear the keys and he kept re-asking me things to type in) anyway, sat on hold for 10 minutes while he called and talked with the dealership. Came back and said that everything was fine and that, but he couldn't promise, my car would be built between March and June. Are you freaking kidding me!!

Couldn't tell me if the dealer had allocation for the car or not. Couldn't explain dealer codes, I don't think he had a clue what I was talking about.

So here I sit at the mercy of my salesman who is vague, and a GM Call Center kid (and by the accent he wasn't built in the US either) who just tied me up for 15 minutes and gave me the same info I had before.

We'll see if the call to the dealership moves things along.

I'll keep ya posted. Thanks

Damn man, that sux! Is it a small dealer you ordered from? If it helps any, I was advised 2030 status is waiting for a dealer allocation. That's were I was stuck at prior to calling GM. Wish you the best of luck, Summer delivery on a Nov order is rediculious!
