It is not clear to me yet how many are affected but there have been issues with the oil pump. I got bit last week and there is a TSB on it. The oil pressure relief valve in the oil pump sticks - causes a 0 oil pressure condition...not good. The good news is it is usually at start up and of you shut down promptly it is not catastrophic.

I have a 2010 2SS/M6 that I ordered back in 2008. The only problems I have had was a broken hood release cable, tilt/telescopic lever came loose and is unusable. I've done a few mods to the car and haven't gotten a "CHECK ENGINE" alert ever. Other than these 2 problems the car has been flawless.

Crap I did have a problem. The factory battery had to be replaced last month, and the AFM is very annoying. Will need to have it deleted!

I was just tuned a few weeks ago....its funny because ive read how getting the afm tuned out makes it so much more fun to drive. I can honestly say its so true. Get it done as soon as you can.

I'm trying to find out if there are problems like the hood corrosion on the Mustangs or the bad shifting transmissions. Go on the stang forums and you will find hundreds of threads about these problems because they are recurring. They are the common problems that everyone gets.

So far, it doesn't seem like there is a recurring problem like this for the Camaros (you know one that affects a large percentage of the cars)
I would say the only major issue that I have heard of is with the 2010, 2011, and early 2012 convertibles and having top issues. 5th bow, water leaks, things like that. They seem to have fixed that in the later 2012 year, and I have not heard of those issues in the 2013,2014,or 2015 year cars. With the redesign, I might be a little leery with the 2016 Convertible, being the 1st year of it and all..

the paint does chip easily...but as far as corrosion, nah.

5 years and almost 100k miles later....

Wow, this thread has me impressed. There are 3 pages of nothing but positive reviews.

Thanks for all your feedback.

This is all good stuff.

I may wind up actually getting one if I can get a good deal.

Now I need to decide, 1SS or 2SS.

When I bought my Stang, I did Premium and then later decided I really didn't need all that gadgetry.

I think I just want a sunroof and auto.

I owned a 2010 Camaro SS and now a 2015 ZL1 and have had no problem with either of them. Solid cars all around and just fun to drive.

Good luck with your decision and glad you are doing your homework.
