Tire pressure for General Gmax As-3

Aloha all, I just had my new General Gmax put on yesterday and right now as I post this they are at 37-38psi. While I was scrubbing the tire I saw on the sidewall max is 51. I know my p-zeros were at 36psi. So to make the question short those of you that have General's or anyone actually is 38-38psi proper?

Mahalo, Craig

I can't tell you for u for sure that 38 is the "correct" pressure for the Generals but I find they ride and handle better on my 2010 at that pressure. Question for you though: do you notice your traction control kicking in on higher speed turns with these tires? I put them on about 600 miles ago (rear only) and now sem to have traction control kicking in on high speed corners (like freeway on ramps) that I never had appen with the original Pirellis.

Yeah cause they suck in the traction dept compared to the Pirellis. The cheapos are slipping around the turns and triggering the nanny!

They do have a very smooth ride. I haven't noticed my traction control kicking in.

I'm thinking 36 is what you'll run with just about any tire you buy for this car.

But, 38 is fine. Not gonna hurt anything.

I put 50 in a couple of mine in the morning. That way it's down to about 36 fro the ride home on one and still over 20 on the other so I can hit the air hose.

*not a DD right now because of this.*

But, ya. You're fine with 38.

I have them on my car.....275/40's all the way around.....and run them at 36 psi....they ride great.

but looking at the side if the tire.....that is the MAXIMUM SAFE INFLATION PRESURE....not the pressure to run them at.

36-38 PSI will work great. 36 for best ride. 38 will stiffen them slightly and give a little better handling.
