Do I need to replace the regulator?
My girlfriend just got her 01 V6, and the driver's side window won't move. It wont go up or down, and there is no motor noise at all when you press the button. I assume I need to replace the motor, but do I need to replace the regulator as well?
I suppose there's a possibility it could be the switch, but I don't think that's the case. Any input is appreciated, thanks in advance Oh, also, the passenger side window is rather slow...I think. A friend of mine had a 4th gen a while back, and I don't remember the windows being that slow...I could be wrong. Her's goes up slower than it goes down, is that normal?...Motor, regulator, or is it fine? |

Well, I'm gonna go ahead and answer this just in case someone in the future needs the info. I did not need to replace the regulator.

Yep the motors tend to burn out due to low voltage. There is a fix for the slow passenger window. http://www.autotrix.net/Product-Pass...Fix-Kit_1.aspx
I have it and it works great!

Yeah, thanks. I think I'm gonna try this. The windows are the only problem I've had with my 4th gen.
