I am also concerned about insurance, i have state farm now. i think its like $130 or something close to that every 3 months for my grand prix. I've never had a ticket, married, and will be 22 when i purchase my camaro. I think i may call my agent and see how much it is for a mustang, i figure they will be similar.

insurance

ive been with state farm for almost 20 years and im over 25 so i dont think this will help, but ive got an 05 Toyota 4Runner, 99 Z28, and an 81 Z28 all full coverage 100/300/100 and its $175 every month. its not always about price you have to think about that companys service when you need them.

During my time driving I only had three accidents, all minor in nature. Me and my parents fixed the damage with our own money or the insurance company would of jacked up our rates. So we didn't report it.

Luckily the accidents I been in didn't really damage anyone else. Its good to have great coverage, but unless the damage is thousands upon thousands or dollars, your vehicle is totaled, or God forbid injured yourself or someone it isn't worth using.

I am 22 as well, turning 23 in the next months...I pay about 160 a month for a V8 truck and I have never been cited for a moving violation.....

I have progressive (which the rates are similar to state farm here in Florida) and requested a quote for the G8 GT (assuming that is the most similar vehicle to the 400hp camaro)...my rates nearly doubled even without a moving violation....so I think it is pretty clear we will have to give an arm and leg to drive this vehicle, but I am more than willing. I plan on probably 200-250 a month on insurance and after all my down payments another 300 a month to put the damn thing in my drive way...but to me, this car is worth the hit until I turn 25. By the time I get this car I will be 24, so its only a year? remember we still have a year or so till most of us can get hands on this vehicle at MSRP.....

I am screwed as far as insurance goes. I have points on my license due to driving into a no passing zone (the yellow lines on the road right before a left turnoff, which is usually where you drive over if you want to get into the left turnoff lane but there is a bunch of traffic in front of you) by some cop with nothing better to do. Screwed up part is, I was following two people doing the same thing, they were caught too, but he let them go!

Anyway, I plan on getting the entry level V8, and I am assuming I'll be 22 when I get the car (turn 21 in two months) so hopefully my insurance won't be too bad. If it is, WHATEVER! Totally WORTH it. It's why I am saving such a monumental down payment.

Well going through Progressive's website, I am quoted $532 for a 6 month Premium on the 08 Mustang and the 08 Mazda 3 that my wife currently has.

Gotta love being a bit older as both my wife and I are older than 25.

Wow so many people are in the same boat as me. I plan on using my parents car insurance to cover the vehicle so that should save me some money. I will just help pay the insurance so its a good deal. If I am going for a Camaro I am going all or nothing.

The insurance drop at 25 is one of the biggest reasons I'm putting off buying one for a few years. I just have to keep my record clean until then and put a little money away consistently, and I'll be able to afford the car I want (not the car I can just afford) with no sweat.

579.65 for my 02 SS and my wifes 05 Kia Sorento. We are both 30 years old. Not bad for USAA, huh?!

i plan on shopping around for the best deal on insurance for my camaro. currently i'm with geico. at the time i started driving it was the cheapest. currently i pay about $300 every six months, but i only have "no fault". i'm going to shop around again when i get my camaro and i plan on getting full coverage. that would be my best suggestion

USAA is almost always the cheapest, if you qualify for their services. For my V6 stang, with a wreck and a speeding ticket (although the wreck should be expired by now) and at 21 years old, I pay about $100 a month. Honestly though, when I was quoting for the V8's insurance, it wasn't much more expensive.
