Need More Light In My Garage!!
Winter is here and with the time change, it is getting dark earlier. My garage lighting is pretty poor. I am looking for a simple upgrade for my light sockets and I found these winged type adjustable LED lights. I have 11-foot ceilings and these seem like they are the ticket. Does anyone else have what is in the video below?

I have something similar in my garage that I purchased online via FB. Took about 15 days to arrive here since it came from China. Different brand, however it works very well and the lighting in my garage now is Fn bright!

I think you really need to setup garage lighting like lighting in a paint booth to have the best possible lighting. Overhead, angled overhead and along the sides. With led panels being really thin, coming in all shapes and sizes and they’re getting cheaper, that’s the route I’m going when I finally setup my garage lighting. I know if I was to work on my motorcycle, working on car brakes, etc. that setup isn’t going to cut it for me and I’d have to get out more lights. Spoiler Alert: if you’re getting older, and you will, you can NEVER have too many lights.

Thats what I did, mounted LED strip lights to the walls in my fresh built garage. They are on an angle downwords mounted 8' up the walls. I have 10' walls. This is way better then having the light mounted above.

When looking at lights the color (temperature or frequency) of the light makes a big difference. The 5000K or true day light give the brightest light, it is w whiter light than normal lights. Some people say it causes too much glair but once you get use to it they are great. They provide much better contrast. Us old guys tend to like them.

I have 12 foot ceiling in my garage and I use 6-8'foot fluorescent fixtures to light it up.Garage is 35'x24' and they provide great lighting in there. They also make the 4'foot and 8'foot in a LED's but you have to buy the new fixture or retro fit your old fixtures by removing ballast and replacing light sockets on the old fixtures but they are bright!

A floor light like a small battery-operated floor light?
I found this write up on LED Lights that gives some ratings to how each performed. Helps a ton when buying these LED lights that are all made in China. https://www.wrenchesandrides.com/too...ting-showdown/ |
