Little bit more done today. Got the firewall area cut out and intake clears now, got both headers bolted up and getting a game plan for piping. As you can see the headers are right at the turbos and aren't going to work so we're going to fab them a little differently. Passenger header will feed drivers side turbo and vice versa. All piping is ordered.

Closing on our house tomorrow, baby due August 1st. Build will slow down but I will get it finished!

Turbo system is all tacked up. Should be getting all the parts back from being welded this week. Fuel system is 100% plumbed and wired. Picked up a drum of 110 for the other car and to start this on. First fire up will be by this weekend

Got this thing all back together. Just need to finish a few odds/ends, get a drum of c16, and schedule the tuning. Went together quicker than I thought it would

Wow is all I can say! Read this whole thread and saw this start out as a desire to have a ZL1 clone that got turned into a monster.
Hope I don't get whatever you got, cuz I'd be broke ass broke.
Congrats! This build gets better and better.

thanks man!

So my date in July got pushed back as we had our baby that day, so we had to reschedule. We ended up having to call it quits due to oil pressure dropping every pull from the oil temp and aluminum rods. Power was as follows at the respective boost levels on a mustang dyno

10psi-1000
12-1075
16-1210
21-1340
25-1470

At that rate we would've cleared the 1800 mark easily on high boost. Going to throw a melling 10355hv pump with the copo spring in it for peace of mind and send it at the track in about 2 weeks.

I put that same Melling in mine as well and just used the spring that was installed. Pressure is 75 psi at 6600, 45 psi hot at 2000. Worth every Penny

Finally had a bit of time to test the spool up on the brake. It only wants to build 5psi with what was in it. I'm going to load up a more aggressive timing pull to see what happens and head to the track Wednesday.

Put a 50/50 mix of 20w50 and Brad Penn nitro 70w oil in it. It now has 95psi at idle cold start. Next oil change I'll just throw a quart of it in. Going to close valve lash up to .008-.010 cold to get rid of some of the valvetrain chatter as well

Hopefully it will run some 4s on just 25psi. I'll post results Wednesday/Thursday

It was for a while lmao. I replaced the bent rods in the sbe I pulled out of it and stuck it in this mustang in building as a street car. No cage, full interior, heat and ac deal

So what's shown is a 1/8 mile slip. 4psi leave and 18psi on the dome. Super lazy on the front half, doesn't want to build boost at all.

2nd pass I put some more on the dome. Melted a lower wastegate line and it either smacked all 8 intake valves or tuliped them. It built 35psi before it died.

Going to throw titanium valves in the heads, redo the wastegate lines in copper, and put a small dry kit on it to spool it. No other changes will be made. This slip shows its all working together

Finally got around to pulling the car apart a few weeks ago and found all 8 intake valves were indeed tuliped. Heads are at the machine shop awaiting a set of coated titaniums and then it will go back together and back to the dyno.
