Fuel question

Running out of fuel psi after 8 psi. I know I need to upgrade system but wondering if there is a simple way to do this vs $1k systems.

ZL1 fuel pump and boost a pump or just go DSX Aux pump if you don't want to dive into a whole new fuel system. However, the DSX Aux is still gonna run you $1K.

If going to go do it all, should I keep 6an size or go up to 8an?

Simple or cheap?

Simple is pulling it into the local shop and tell them you’re running out of fuel, then hand them the keys and your checkbook.

Not much is cheap in the fuel arena

That’s no lie. I gotta get rid of the cats cause of heat soak and the off road mid pipes are no longer being sold. So now I gotta get a exhaust system too. I was just seeing if there was an alternative but my hopes are shattered.

Just gut the cats and leave the shells there. No need to cut them out and totally redo the exhaust.

Once upon a time I had an inline boost fuel pump that came on at WOT and it worked great up until I made the switch to E85 and had to totally redo the fuel system. It was set up that way when I bought the car from a guy in Chicago, and when my shop saw the setup they thought it was pretty slick. I think Chicago Speed did the install or maybe it was called Speed Inc.

Really need more info on your build to give an accurate answer. JMS voltage booster if you don't have a BAP already. FPCM tuned already I hope?

With fueling it always cost big bucks . Plus figuring doing it right the first time . To make sure my fuel is adequate for my build my fuel systems costing me somewhere 4500.00 ball park . That just for parts !! Injector , fuel system
, e85 sensor .

When I put nitrous on, I put on a BAP that came on when when the nitrous was armed. When I added the turbo, I put in a ZL1 pump and FPCM and ran the BAP off a Hobbs switch. I got the BAP and pump off here for $100 each. That supports my power level fine, but I am getting close to the limit. If you buy those parts new, you are getting to a cost where you might just want to go to a bigger drop in pump. This is with the stock fuel lines and rails.

If you are running the stock pump, the ZL1 pump will take you to the 600hp range. A BAP alone probably gets you in the same power range.

If you are ever going to want to turn it up near 1000hp, just get a big pump and change the lines now.

When I switched to e I needed an aux pump.. got me to 15psi.. now I'd have been better off springing for the fore system.. but i didnt.. so rather than ditch my zl1 + aux.. im just going to add 8an fuel rails and a 2nd aux...
