OEM Tires or PS4? Pics Plz

Hi all,

I just crossed 5k miles on my 2017 ZL1 A10 - at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca no less , and it's time to replace my tires ahead of a double track day at Auto Club.

I have a family member who works at Michelin who wasn't sure the fitment of the PS4s is quite right. So, looking for first person stories and any pics of PS4s on OEM wheels that might be out there. I don't think there is any doubt that it's a superior tire.

Sorry if I missed on other threads but didn't see what I was looking for in search.

Btw - still love this car. Only minor (very minor) gripes are the 3rd-to-4th gear transition (each way) and the non-adjustable headrests and seatbelts.

Thx,
Tom

There are a number of discussions and comparison threads in the "Wheel & Tire" forum.

What do you mean by non-adjustable headrests and seatbelts?

I just replaced oem Good Year F1 with PS4 and I dont know about comparisons on the track but the PS4 are amazingly better on the road use as far as im concerned. With the Goodyears I was slipping and sliding in temps of 40 degrees and they were awful in the rain. The PS4 grip the road so much better its not even close IMHO.

What do you mean about the 3rd to 4th gear transition? Slow? Jerky?

The rev match isn't as smooth with the 3-4 and 4-3 shifts as with the other gears. The A10 so good with everything else it does, that the 3-4/4-3 stands out as being "off."

That's disappointing to hear. I wonder if that is just your car or with every A10. Sorry, I don't mean to hijack your thread.

A10 here, 4 to 3 downshift sucks...

The G3 will be superior on the track compared to PS4. Though the PS4 will be better on the street. What’s more important for ya?

I concur, although I really only have a problem with it on the manual downshift.

I agree too. 4-3-4 sucks. Chevy needs to release an update for the rev match.

I’m running 295/305 PS4S on One Lap right now and I’m thrilled with them. Great in bad rain, fast on track and quiet.
