2nd Times a charm

Two weeks ago I sold my highly modified STi in search of a more practical daily driver with a warranty. I ended up with a black 2014 1SS. Drove it for just over a week and realized I wanted more. I was trying to make the responsible choice and go with the cheaper option...but when I figured the money I was going to spend on wheels, springs, exhaust, and Hurst shifter, the 1LE got cheaper and cheaper. So, needless to say, I traded in my 1SS and got this; 2014 AGM 1SS 1LE w/Recaros and Dual Mode exhaust. Should have just got it first, but hey, its home now!

I cant believe how different the 1LE feels over the standard SS. I was in love before I even drove off the lot. Cant wait for some dry weather so I can get some good shots of the car. I also cant believe how many looks the car gets, people actually stop and watch it drive by. Never got that in my Subaru or my Cobra

Here's a little cell phone vid of the car coming off the showroom floor (little shaky)

I did the same thing, only it was a '12 1SS that I did spend thousands modding over a year and a half, then ordered a '13 1SS/1LE....that I'm still modding

The 1LE is an INCREDIBLE platform.....which makes me want a Z/28 even more. I drank the kool aid!

congrats!

I can see how modding this car would become a slippery slope very quickly! They handle so nice, adding another 100hp or so just makes sense.

Cant wait to see the Z/28, I have a feeling some good deals on modded 13s/14s will be had

Thats why I picked up a 14 1le. I couldnt mod my '12 ss to the same performance for the price I paid on the 1le. I figure I'm ahead. waiting on z28 parts now...

Love the Base 1SS 1LE (non RS). Keep it simple, incredible bang for the buck. Want one bad!

I got a kick out of those. They had them behind a Vette that sold the day I got my 1st SS. When I went back they had them lined out behind the 1LE. Funny how many people stop and rub their foot on them. I hope they put them behind the Volt they had parked next to my car

I do like the RS tailights better, but that's it. This car makes me smile every time I walk up to it

I noticed a big difference over the standard SS. I haven't looked up the actual gears, but the butt dyno feels like 1st through 4th are shorter and 5th and 6th are about the same. The standard SS didn't have the pull I expected from and LS motor. Felt good, but not like I imagined a 6.2L should.

The dealership told me the felt about the same...I disagree, 100%. They feel like two different cars, and the 1LE in my opinion is much better.

Congrats!!! the 1LE has closer gearing in the tranny. It is the same tranny outta the Z06 and the closer gearing makes it feel stronger.
