I Just Had To Laugh

Last night after work i ordered a Philly Cheese steak and some chicken wings' the delivery driver pulls up in a 2023 2SS Camaro, i'm thinking how the heck he makes money driving a beast like that.

Either way' that Camaro was amazing' put my 5th gen to shame.

Ha! Golden. Years ago, I had pizza delivered by a kid driving a 99 3000GT VR4 once. We had a discussion about the car and as it turns out, he was a UO college kid schooling on mom and dad's dime and they bought the car for him as well. I think it was about a $40K-$45K car then which would make it about a $60K car now.

He's losing money with each delivery, though. My guess would be that the guy was either in a pinch (needed quick money or didn't have his usual ride available), or he is terrible with accounting.

I realize this is more about the Camaro and not the job, and the question was rhetorical... And nobody really cares but I'll still say it anyway. Lol.

Either he already has enough money and he does this for side work, or it's a second job.

I'm telling you right now these days, delivery drivers don't get near what they used to.
As a former delivery driver for pizza places of 6 years, I have a friend who still works at the place I quit whom constantly tells me he gets stiffs. Not only that, but he gets paid less when he clocks out on a run than when he's inside the store because the company expects him to get tips. That delivery fee definitely does not go to the driver. They get about 75 cents to a dollar from the company each run.

Girl I use to date would run doordash and GrubHub at the same time, and she didn't make much more than the added tip the customer gave.

And yes, I'm def fun at parties. Not a buzz kill at all.

Most personal auto insurance policies EXCLUDE coverage if you have an accident while
using your car for business. Check your policy before making a big mistake.

My delivery days were over before I bought my 2010 Camaro, but it is still my economy car (gets better fuel mileage than my '74 K5/Blazer or my 2000 Cherokee). I did deliver pizza in my '69 Buick Gran Sport while I was attending college. I referred to it as "Fastest delivery in town".

This is a good point. My coverage also excludes anything happening on a track, whether you're racing or not.
