- CINEPORT 10 @ MESILLA VALLEY MALL-LAS CRUCES, NM -

Save the date, Save the date, SAVE THE DATE, cause on Saturday, June 28th Allen Theaters and Mesilla Valley Mall are proud to once again host the Transformers 4 Camaro5 weekend movie premiere event!

Allen Theaters and Mesilla Valley Mall will allow us to once again park our 5th Gen Camaros in the round about drop-off area at their Cineport 10 theater location. We will plan to have our Camaros parked and set-up at around 11:30AM-Noon where once we are all parked set up and ready to leave for lunch, will be blocked off and watched over while the crowds of locals attend the various screenings of movies at Cineport 10 throughout the day.

Afterwards, we will walk on over to De la Vega's Pecan Grill on the north side of the Mall where reservations will be made at around 12:30PM to accommodate for our large, and it will be large, group to partake in their fine dining and fine spirits. Lunch should take no longer than 2 hours at the most and we will walk back to Cineport 10 for the movie. We will looking into what times the showings will be that will both be equally beneficial for us and as well as for Allen Theaters. We are looking into having our vehicles still present during the 6PM weekend movie rush so preferably we will be looking into a 4PM-6PM screening thus allowing folks coming in for the 6PM screening to view the cars which is Allen Theater's Cineport 10 peak time is.

We will be in discussions with Allen Theaters to determine a time and accommodations for the screening of our choosing so there may be a possibility that we will have to kill around 2 hours between lunch and the movies, BUT good thing that there is a mall to walk through, a Buffalo Wild Wings a hop skip away with liberations next door or just hang out by the cars like we always like to do, haha!

Once we are out of the movie, we will get everything set up to leave, take some pictures for Allen Theaters and help get "Bumblebee's" fat-ass out of the tight doorways from the lobby and cruise down to Caliche's for our usual desert and treats on Roadrunner and enjoy the remainder of the night.

Allen Theaters have mentioned that they will graciously provide FREE admittance to the Transformers 4 screening that we choose, HOWEVER, the free passes will only be available to those that come in at the time scheduled when we park and set up the cars. There will be no passes granted to those that cannot make it until like 3 or 4PM, coincidentally just in time for the movie and then leave. We will be keeping tabs as well as Allen Theaters on those that are participating in the entire event. Another rule, once your Camaro is parked in the round-about, we cannot move the cars to let someone out, UNLESS it is an absolute emergency. PLEASE contact us either through here or you can contact me through my phone at (575)649-4624 with people in your party so we can make the seating reservations with De la Vega's Pecan Grill.

Allen Theaters have also mentioned about doing another, smaller display for an earlier midnight release showing at their Telshor 12 location on Tuesday night. So if anyone within the Las Cruces are would like to be a part of that as well, please PM me so that way we can get a list set up for that and determine a time schedule as well.

We have are also glad to announce that Daniel (Boricua) has volunteered his Transformers Edition Camaro to be our key display for the event where we will park the Camaro inside of the lobby to add to the experience of this show. Thank You, Daniel for everything that you do. Can't wait for you to come back, brotha!

Below are some photos from the event that we had with Allen Theaters back in 2011 for TRANSFORMERS: Dark of the Moon, which will also give you an idea of the setup that we are looking into recreating. That year we had 12 5th Gen Camaros participate and I know that we can bring more to the party this year. THIS, my friends, is probably one of the most exciting events that we get to do and involves an entire day of planned events, great food, and flat out amazing and fun entertainment, so please come and join us for a pilgrimage to most for the film that inspired and pushed a movement known as the 5TH GEN CAMARO!

Update.

Sorry folks, this event has been postponed until further notice. We will do it, just not at this time. The BBQ at Louis's house is still on for 1400 on Saturday for anyone that is interested.

We are gauging interest in the Members that would be willing to go to White Sands on June 21st, then those that want can go to Louis's annual BBQ in Las Cruces afterward. This is to celebrate one last time with Greg (aka danvillevidd) and Shellie before they move to Florida at the end of the month.

Please post up if you are interested in an all day Cruise to White Sands and Las Cruces. The BBQ starts at 1400. If interested, I recommend leaving El Paso nlt 0900. It is approximately 75 mins from the East side. We will meet on or near Transmountain so we can caravan to White Sands National Monument.

About the BBQ at Louis' house, everyone wanting to attend needs to take the food that they want grilled, and any beverage s they want. The theme this year is the 50's it's not required but he is asking if people will dress the look. The BBQ starts at 1400.

This is the most up to date list. This event will take place next weekend. For the Members in El Paso we will meet on Transmountain nlt 0900. It should take about 1 hr 15 min to drive. Once there we will meet the Las Cruces group and danvillekidd at the Visitors Center around 1030. From there we will caravan into the park taking pictures along the way. We will look for an open area to park and set up the cars for a photo shoot. Then we can proceed further into the park and find some open tables with cover to sit and talk while the kids that want to play in the sand can. Afterwards we will depart the park, and those wanting to attend Louis's BBQ in Las Cruces, we will caravan there. On the way we will need to find a store to buy our food for the BBQ.

If anyone has other ideas please feel free to throw them out. This is an open cruise, nothing is set in stone. The ideas I posed are only suggestions that worked the last time we did this.

As mentioned above the going away cruise to White Sands for Danville Kidd was postponed until further notice. That being said, there are a few members that still want to go this Saturday. If anyone is still interested in going, we will still meet up on Transmountain at 0900, and depart for White Sands for a fun day. Take the kids out to play in one of the largest gypsum sand boxes in the world.
