Oh and i guess i could also throw in that i went to the track a few weeks ago for GLD's opening weekend.

It was basically pointless as the track was still frozen. You can see in the video that there is still snow on the sides of the track as i was pulling up. But still was fun.

so some of you might have known that i have been putting off buying a rear set of tires for daily driving. I was basically down to the belts on them.

So i started searching for decent set of used tires because i go through them so quickly, its pointless to pay so much for new tires.

well i came across a guy selling a set of American Racing Torq-Thrust M wheels for my car. He originally wasnt planning on selling the tires with it as he was going to put them on his new set of wheels. But we talked about it a little more and came to a decent price. I was able to pick up a set of new Wheels and tires for the price of a pair of rear tires for my car.

Now i have already heard that these aren't the favorite for everyone, but i personally love the old school style mixed with the newer sizing. So hope you like!

Has it ever accrued to you, your iats are high because your turbos are spinning way past their efficiency range since you are not running a wastegate correctly.

Well the turbos are still technically in their efficiency range as i am only running 10psi and the turbos are good for about 800hp each. So thats means that they are capable of 30+psi.

We have checked the turbines to make sure they arent spinning too fast.

But you are partially correct as it is compressing the air more than it normally would be so the combination of that and no intercooler is the real reason. But the good news is that the meth injection has taken care of that issue now. So IAT's are not hurting anything anymore.

Not sure if you know, but early turbo systems and diesels run in a similiar fashion to what my setup is. So yes it might not be ideal, but it works. And at the end of the day, you cant argue with results.

well on the way up to the track, there were a few more clouds and the temperature dropped about 15-20 degrees. And as the night grew, it got cooler and cooler. Although the DA was through the roof, it still was a decent day. Here are my times in order as i went.

11.429 @ 125.80 - 1.951 60ft
11.313 @ 125.69 - 1.847 60ft
11.273 @ 126.81 - 1.971 60ft
11.184 @ 125.73 - 1.786 60ft <-- NEW PB
11.441 @ 126.76 - 1.916 60ft


i was launching more aggressively which seemed to do the trick. But i ended up over powering the tires a few times. On my new personal best, my back end actually kicked out pretty hard as i was spinning. So that was my 10 second pass if i didnt spin.

But overall it was fun and a good time. I really enjoyed tonight other then the fact that someone took my wheel lock :-/ so i had to drive home on my race wheels lol

It was great seeing you run that 11.1 Jerry, you're making a lot of power to run that good at your raceweight.

Keep looking for the wheel lock it's gotta be somewhere.

Yeah man, it was a good time up there with you. Such good knowledge and experience too.

And that lock is no where to be found lol. Trying to find a place to order a new set

so i finally had a chance to get the car back on the rollers to get it dialed in with the new additions. Here are the changes since last time on the dyno..

previous dyno 565whp.560tq
-stock fuel pump
-KB BAP
-No Meth
-running 8-9psi


*NEW*
-ZL1 Fuel pump
-ADM FPCM
-AEM Meth Injection
-Running between 9-10psi.






next up....
-ID850 injectors
-ZL1 Rear end
-V6 Brakes

Got to put the new tune to the test!!!!!!

The night started out great, and got worse and worse. Here are my times.

11.092 @ 126.63 - 1.779 60ft <--NEW PB
11.216 @ 125.94 - 1.832 60ft
11.388 @ 125.66 - 1.922 60ft

The DA was god awful and as the night went on it got more and more humid. But in the end i am happy as i ran a new personal best and just one step closer to that 10.xx

the DA was actually +2700 when i ran my best pass.... corrected that is a 10.952 @ 128.22 :-(
