What car shows and track days are coming up in your area? I am looking for some places to go over the next few weeks... I have a few weekends off and days during the week. Let me know what is out there and I may stop by and say Hi…

If you werent about 4 hours away, I would say come out to MAM (road track) in Pacific Junction IA on June 4th or 5th. Its a very good track and you would have a blast!! We try to go about once a month, if you are ever interested, let me know.

I want to hit MAM with my car.. I have my roadracing license (motorcycles) and instruct with NESBA but never been in a car on the track. We are planning on doing the Hot Rod power tour June 5th-8th.. starts at Iowa Speedway...

btw, what's it cost to race a car at MAM?

I am out on the 5th but I may be able to pull a few strings for the 4th. Are there things for kids to do? I will have 4 of my 5 girls with me. Do you have a web page or anywhere I can look for more information? Do I need anything special for MAM? Sounds like a blast...

The cost is usually $100 for the day or $75 for a half day. Starts at 8am and goes until 6pm. If you want to do an orientation day with the instructors, then it is $175 and they have them the first Friday of every month. They also have Fast Fridays every Friday during the summer. If you plan on going sometime, let me know as I would like to meet up with some more 5th gens out here.

This weekend is a special Nissan track event so it is only $125 for both days. You just need a helmet to run the track, should be a SA2000 or better helmet I believe. Here is the website to sign up for this event if you are interested.

The Good Guys Show Over the July 4th weekend in DesMoines. It would be a nice drive and there are plenty of cars to look over its a blast.

thanx for the info.. just your car and a helmet... too easy. I will let you know when I get over there. sounds like a great time! I just hope my knowledge of motorcycle roadracing correlates to car roadracing..

It's all about finding the line and you should be used to that from racing motorcycles
