I don’t know why everyone gets so hung up on Dyno numbers. They are all over the place numbers wise and all kinds of things effect the number. They are simply a tool. Never even had our car on a dyno. No real need if you can tune at the track.

That being said the SS4 is an amazing cam. I have one of the old versions of it in my wife’s car and it’s been 10.7@128. Also understand you’re NOT going to get a full weight 5th Gen cam only car into the 10’s. 10’s are not a walk in the park. You’ll need more power, or a lot less weight. Took me many trips to the track to get my wife’s car to where it is now. Making more changes and going for 9’s next season.

There’s a guy on YouTube Nasty2SS that inspired me to cam it.With similar mods ,I don’t know about his cam specs but he says he made 491 whp in his 14ss. So 485 to 500 would be great for me. But if I was going FI I wouldn’t care either lol. Hopefully I can get it done this weekend and tuned the next so I can post some results.

Lol ...Yea buddy I think you’ll be happy with it ... it has a very nasty idle

I think you will be a bit higher than mine I’ll say 487 ish range

I too have a 1LE and bought the SS4 NFC cam kit so I'm looking forward to seeing your results so I can have an idea of what to expect when I get mine installed

TSP VVT 3.2 cam and see sig for the rest...

Put a Stage 2 ProCharger D1X on with 3.9" pulley and was shooting for about 650rwhp.

I was blown away when it laid down 723rwhp on 93 pump and 760rwhp on E85 with 14lbs by 6,800 rpm's!

If you go for boost, I highly recommend the D1X!

I am subscribed to him. Good, down to earth dude who doesn't pretend to know everything, and his car is badass. He was an active member here at one point.

If come close to that 700 range I’ll be in tears from happiness...I’m either going with Paxton or procharger .. i gotta see what boys at the shop can draw up .. whichever way I go I’m going Push it to limit and actually see how much this car can take b4 it’s a Granade ..

I stuck it in her Saturday night. No tune and I mucked up the threads to the 2nd spark plug on the driver side. But she still fired up and I don’t think the drivetrain sounded bad at all. The LTs thru the NPP is nasty and the cam untuned sound beastly. Can’t wait to get to GPI and get my Rod mod intake and tuned

NICE !!!! Sounds about right !! When tuned it’s not gonna sound much different than that .. it’s gotta shit ton of overlap! Gets nasty when it’s hot !
