I might be stoned for this but who is fbodfather and what impact does he have on the 09' Camaro??? The latter question is the more important question.

Let me just supplement what has been said about who Scott is I found this on something called GMnext wiki. I read it and it seems pretty accurate...Scott, let us know if anything about this is wrong

Quote:
Biography: Scott Settlemire was raised in Suburban Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His Father and Uncle were Chevrolet dealers and his cousin still runs a Chevrolet Dealership. This gave Scott a very unique perspective on cars – and Chevrolet in particular - and as a result, he has an interesting understanding of Chevrolets … and Camaro in particular.

He’s been in his words "a rabid Camaro Fan since I first saw a Camaro in person on September 10, 1966."

"Being involved in the Chevrolet Camaro is more than a job to me … it has been a life-long passion."

Scott graduated from Northwood University and worked as Sales Manager for a Chevy Dealership prior to being approached by General Motors. He started his GM career in Philadelphia and held many positions in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, Suburban Boston, Metropolitan New York and, of course, Detroit.

He became Asst. Brand Manager – Camaro (and later Camaro Product Manager) on the Camaro/Corvette Performance Car Team and worked on the 4th gen F-car. His official title is "Manager – Chevrolet and Hummer Shows and Exhibits" – but he’s still working with the Camaro team and Chevrolet on the next generation Camaro.

but there's a very cool tool I use as an add-on to IE called IE7Pro -- it blocks ads, and also does spell checking for you automatically (when you type in a web form, if the word is mis-spelled, the program will automatically highlight it for you, so you know to check the correct spelling!

thanks, I might check that out, why doesn't the forum have a spell check built in? or am I just blind?

Sorry for the off-topic, folks!

ditto that....Nick

Hey! No problem! I'm here to help! I'm glad you said something though, because it motivated me to look it up! I knew Scott was Camaro's Product manager at one point. I just couldn't remember specifics

You have a PM. I've discovered the editor here (where you type replies) does have a spellcheck button, but it's not as easy as that (at least for IE).

More details in the PM. Sorry to all others in the thread for the LAST off-topic from me.

Maybe GM could offer an "Enthusiast" package for those of us that would never buy a Mustang, and thus don't really care how its priced... compared to the Mustang!!!!

True.
But GM knows that loyal followers would never buy the competior's product in the first place. With that being said, the price will be a fair price for everyone. I am convinced at this point.

If they offer a package like that, I want Rustang parts in the grill so it looks like my car just ate some 'stangs.
