The only negative I have seen is in the eye of the beholder, I like the contrast between the flat matte vinyl stripes and the gloss clear coat paint. The painted stripes I have seen were covered by clear coat and somewhat lost in the gloss shine. FYI

Do it I am thinking about having my RJT Camaro stripes painted on myself but I am not sure what color to choose White? Silver? Gold ? Hmmmm

For those considering, ask a professional paint shop to paint a couple of sample panels in the stripe colors of your choice. This way you can place them on your hood and consider. I ended up going with a dark sapphire blue pearl over top of my black stripes. The blue only shows when the light comes from the right direction. Otherwise they look like shiny black stripes.

YES DO IT DO IT!!!! Find a nice PEARL METALIC.....one to look at would be a GM color called DIAMOND WHITE.....its the color of my other car......if or when I get my strips painted on, thats the color I am going with.
