A stroke of Genius

We all know front wheel drive cars are "better" (easier) to drive in the winter. So this "Genius" decided that maybe he can just drive in reverse and make a front wheel drive car out of his Camaro

Lol I remember watching this guy on TV, video was taken in Istanbul. Btw a brand new Camaro with the v6 engine costs around $140,000 in Turkey because of the insane taxes. Gas is also around $8 for gallon. So this guy is a quite wealthy moron.

I'm sure everyone pretty much knows why that doesn't work.

It's the summer tires...lol

That was a trick we discovered back in the 70's to get up icy hills here in Iowa. Wide summer rubber just won't cut it on a hill like that though!

He didn't even make it up the hill.

3 minutes 23 seconds I'll never have back.

I knew he wouldn't not with those tires.

One time I got caught in a freak April snowstorm in my 94TA with 275/40/17 summer tires.

Long story short very big hill on expressway got a good run coming around the bend barely made it up the last 20ft almost rolled back down.

It's easier to pull something than push it, otherwise the traction is the same. Backing up the hill gives you just a little extra.

It's nothing like having the weight of an engine directly on the drive wheels.

Needs more weight over the drive axle. The guy that made it up the hill has, most likely, a front wheel drive (FWD) where the heavy engine sits atop the drive axel (up front). As we all know, Camaros are RWD. So, what to do? Winter tires and extra weight over the rear axle, like sand bags..........
