I have a LS3 with a K&N CAI. I just bought a used diablosport predator from another member. Do I need to do any special tuning for the CAI?

nope just run the performance tune that is pre programmed. to tune better, you really need at to be professionally done

I thought I read somewhere that the cai messes up the fuel settings??

No, the computer relearns the air to fuel ratio. You're fine. You don't even need to tune the car if you've only got a CAI.

Ok, dumb question then...why would I ever need a tune if the computer relearns? For example, if I put on long tubes shouldn't the computer relearn? Excuse my ignorance...just trying to understand.

Get a custom tune.

I learned my lesson. Anytime you add something...update your tune. I added a Vmaxx TB to my Modded LS3 with headers and cam and it changed the AFRs and dropped the RWHP on the dyno 30 hp!!! Just do it!

One reason I choose the predator was because there is a local CMR tuner who can write a custom tune for me. That is in the future.
