Cloth dash and door panels

Has anyone removed with the cloth from their door and dash panels? I've thought about doing this to have them hydro dipped and then reinstalling them. If you have removed the cloth, did it leave any type of residue? Thanks for any input on the matter

I've done it, check out my build thread to see it, Teenage dream is the name of it. I took the cloth off the dash strip and the door panels and my hydro dip guy got the adhesive off and I got it done in black carbon fiber all around, looks awesome!

Use adhesive remover to get it off if you do it yourself, not a razor blade.
