The MBRP catback sounds nice in my opinion and it's just below $700 shipped.

Just ordered the solo cutback with the J pipes. Apex gave me a deal I could not refuse.

Thanks everyone for your input.

Also got a Cai Inc cai so hopefully they'll be here at the same time

The v1 is not the louder exhaust on here by far. But I think you made a great choice with the solo exhaust. It's louder than stock no drone and will open up when you get on it. Looking forward to your review!

SOLO is a GREAT Choice, I thought it was out of your price range... You will be extremely happy with it, you can do the install yourself. Make sure that you come back to this thread and leave your feedback. I also have the SOLO High Flow Cats, nice power increase, DIY install. Good Luck!

not always.... just to get it out the way...a muffler and a resonator are the same thing. a resonator is just a smaller muffler.

so if a v8 uses a larger muffler/resonator at any point, then yes.... more sound absorption CAN occur...

however, more v8's can get away with straight pipes than v6's... so some v8 mufflers are actually smaller in diameter and length than v6's.... with less sound absorbing or cancelling materials, it can actually be louder.

and by louder, one may be louder in decibels, but can possibly in some setups hear all the higher pitched and raspy tones that most don't like. so its basically a hit or miss...

hence, the statement again, any exhaust is able to be tuned...

Eddie it was out of my price range until I found an used Cai Inc Intake for $200 which gave me an extra $200 towards exhaust! Apex also gave me a great deal on the solos so it all worked out great. I work at an Infiniti Dealership and service labor is $25/hr for me so I'll have one of the techs help me put it on there.

I went with borla mufflers, a bit more expensive but well worth it, throaty, mean, bite you in the butt for a v6 sound.

It is me again. I got the above named exhaust axle back MRT V2, and for the most part it is awesome. Now for me with my 2012 LFX V-6 Camaro, and MRT V2, there is a noticeably drone between 1,600 and 2,000 RPMs. I am used to it, and in fact like the sound. Keeps the rice burners from bothering me, with the regular exhaust, it was too quiet.

I wanted to but all I could find was the borla video an I'm sure that was on a ss I'm sure it'll work. But I couldn't find any videos and all I could find was the borla atak catback which started at 1,300 k or somethin like that so I went with mrt v1 and love the sound.
