OEM Extended Warranty DEALS?
Hello!!
How about some dealers in this forum give us some OEM warranty deals? The Toyota forums always had dealers selling warranties for about $100 above cost. -bobby

GMPP (GM Protection Plan) Info
I've purchased a few of the GMPP (Major Guard) plans over the past several years.
There's one very different thing with GMPP in how is is additive to the miles on the odometer at time of GMPP purchase and additive to the purchase date of the GMPP plan not the car. You can only purchase a GMPP Major Guard plan while the vehicle is under its original bumper-to-bumper factory warranty (3 years / 36K miles). There is a tiered pricing structure for this type of plan. 0 months to 12 months / 0 to 12000 miles (cheapest overall rates - GMPP new) 12 months to 36 months / 0 to 24000 miles (second cheapest overall rates - GMPP used) 12 months to 36 months / 24000 to 36000 miles (most expensive rates - GMPP used) You can extend the time/miles your GMPP major guard plan covers by waiting until just before the 1yr/12k miles date/miles point and purchase a plan then. You can purchase a plan up to 3yr/36K miles, but the price jumps up once you move into another pricing category noted above. There is a long running debate over on the Chevy SSR forums about this very topic. I've explained how they can purchase a plan near the end of the 1yr/12K miles period for a longer time/miles than waiting 2 years to purchase a 2 year shorter plan and save about $1000.00 but many there refuse to purchase a plan until near the very end of their factory warranty. It's their money to waste. All I'm asking is that you take the time to ask pricing questions about GMPP before making a purchase of a GMPP Major Guard plan at the time of purchase of your car. You can get the "same" pricing but extend the coverage by waiting until the 1yr/12K mile time to purchase it then. Most "warranty" plans ARE NOT additive to the miles on the odometer and date of the plan purchase, but the GMPP Major Guard plan is additive to those values at the time of the plan purchase. It's a big difference. Just keep it in mind when you are considering making a "warranty" plan purchase.
