It needed a tranny, when it's all said and done I'll be into it for about $2200... Should have it buttoned up and driving tomorrow afternoon.

The Waterjet gig is cool, couple days (or nights) a week... Basically a highly paid baby sitter. Put in material, keep the machine running, draw stuff. It's fun... Kinda boring at the moment, got a 3 hour job running on the machine right now.

They are pretty cool engines, the 02-04 had 275 hp IIRC, and they bumped it up to 291 in 05+

I'd love to swap one into something and slap a turbo on it.

That's awesome Jason still not bad bud! So your a wrencher too hu? That's cool
Gm has a straight 5 cylinders in the H3's and Colorado's too.

On a side note Jason, any relation to a RacinJason that used to race Mustangs? I used to read about him back in the day. He passed recently but was a cool guy!

A buddy of mine just paid 40k for resto mod 77 trans am. Unfortunately it's shit brown not black. Built motor. I had a 76 z28 back in the day. He let me drive it. My god I remember these things being a hell of a lot faster. Times have changed. It lit em up in first gear but man nothing shifting into 2nd at red line (which is 5k lol) . I felt bad because he thinks the car is a race car. I gave him the speech about these cars being cruisers. Think I sold him on a set of gears though. I also probably burnt out his clutch. He was like what is that smell, I told him it was his tires. Lol.
Like I said I had a 76 z28 which I remember being a bad ass car, but I imagine if I drove it today I would feel like a dog.
