This Just Breaks My Heart
http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/play...26713&src=news
After trading in my old faithful Stealh and feeling like crap about it b/c it went towards the Cash for Clunkers deal I feel even worse after seeing this video that shows in depth what they do to the old cars . Lol I know its lame but it was my first "cool" car and while I love my Camaro I feel like I betrayed an old friend. Are there C4C counselors that help you cope with losing your old car lol? |

Just let it go brother, Let it Rest in Peace. You now have one of the best cars on the planet. Enjoy that new Camaro! On rare occasion I do miss my Chevy Sliverado Truck but the more I drive my Camaro the more I forget about it.

Yeah it is heart breaking. I don't see why the old cars cant go to a junk yard for salvage, seems like that would be more productive.

Yep, to top it off the car they destroyed by siezing the motor looked like a decent shape cadilac with a northstar. I would of kept the car for use on those nasty days when you dont want to drive a nice car.

Is it wrong that that was harder for me to watch than a slaughter house/meat packing plant video. Which I could probably watch while eating a rib eye.

BRAND: Well, we've called David Rumer, the president of the scrap processing company, Behr Peoria to help us out. He will get the clunkers from that dealer we spoke with in Madison. And Mr. Rumer, before the clunker comes to you, it first goes to a salvage yard to be stripped down. What do they take from the car first? Mr. DAVID RUMER (President, Behr Peoria): Well, in the case of these clunkers, they can remove parts from the car like radiators, starter motors, tires if they're good, wheels. My understanding is, though, that they cannot remove any of the drive train. BRAND: Okay, and those parts that they do take, they can then resell, right? Mr. RUMER: That is correct, yes.

I think every manufacturer should be handing out these stickers with every cash for clunkers purchase.

Think positive. Maybe some part of your old Stealth will be melted down and be lucky enough to become part of a new Camaro . . .

That Northstar was MURDERED right before my eyes! Though I have no problem seeing that minivan get crushed, I hate them and people who have them cant drive them. Tragic :( RIP to all the cars who met their early end. |
