Walkie talkie work great... let me know what frequencies I'll program them in my car.. UHF VHF .. I will probally have a CB in the car by the time we leave. I've purchased one that all goes under the dash but the mike. That away when not on a trip I can take mike & antenna off car.... I think the word is UGLY !!

I was wondering if you were going to go. If you had not gotten on I was going to e-mail you. Glad to hear you going too. Kim is taking her 2010 and plan on taking the Firebird.

I agree 100%. The trip is going to be as much fun and interesting as the event.

Okay kids... I'm talking to Wingate by Wyndham - Birmingham about a rate for us on Thur. night traveling to Camaro5Fest. I've looked at it and like all reviews they are good and bad but most are good 92%... I think we can get a good rate if there are several of us staying there... give me your feed back.. Less than $90.00 I'm sure.

sounds good, its just a place for me to lay my head down for 7-8hrs, sh!t, shower and shave... don't need anything special. Just need parking space for trailer
May want to send a message Abygale's way, she threw some suggestions in on places.

Doesnt matter to me, just a bed and shower all I need. And as long as it's in a decent area that is well lit.

Thats good for me also, but like Ject stated, Abygale was working on it also. But if two people are working on it we might have a choice of hotels to choose from or a better deal if the hotels know we have a group and have a choice of hotels. I also don't care except for trailer parking area at whatever hotel. Thanks to both of you for working on our hotel needs.

This is a change for me. Usually wait until the last minute to plan. This is how I should have always done it. I plan on putting in for the time off this week since it will be after November 1.

Anything is good for me, like others have said, just as long as its not too outrageous

Since this convoy plan is on its way, I have another question for yall. If we started an Oklahoma Chapter Camaro Club. . .how many of yall would be interested and how often would you be willing to participate in things like owner dinners, poker runs, etc. (monthly, quarterly. . .)

Supercop that's great if you can get a $90/night rate for us there. I haven't called any of the hotels but most websites are showing a rate of $180-200 night. If you are getting quoted $90 I say let's stay there. It's pretty much on our route, most of them are no more than 1-2 miles off the highway we are traveling so that sounds great. If you want to firm things up with an estimate of how many rooms and see what they say, I'm all for it I wouldn't mind sharing a room if there is another lady traveling alone either.

Okay... I will give them a call tomorrow and find out 1st about parking, if it sounds good I'll then pull out the rubber hose and get down to price cutting. I think with a good whip and hose I can get less than $90.00.
At my count + or - one or 2, I have about 7 rooms & we still have till April to add more people when they find out about it.
Abygale & whoever is lucky to stay with her, 1969Fbody,Fonegod1,Ject,Futrocpd,MeagsMom,Mamaro and myself ( Supercop29)
I'm sure our list will grow... any questions let me know.

I work 2 full time jobs and just planing this off with 2 jobs makes my head hurt.
But... that being said...and it is a CAMARO event ( my house is divided, wife has a Mustang GT ) and she is VERY emotional about it. Say nothing bad or the little 4'9" women will whip us all !!
Now that being said.... for me quarterly would make good for me, of course this would have to be a planned weekend...so wife could get off work.. a weekend day.. Sat would be best for me.... now I have left my 2 cents like I always do...
