Is this the sill plate you are talking about? I have it on my LS and came that way, it was not an add on or option.

I agree. I went one step further though and had my Clear Bra installer put Clear Bra in area's the plate wasn't to protect the paint even more.

Seems like its an option; doesn't make sense to me.
2LT is loaded V6 and should have them, especially if a 1SS gets them.
I looked over my window sticker and didn't see anything special but I guess its an SS thing. So V8 = Door sills???? Come on Chevy, is this really an upgrade???

About $75.00 +shipping from GM parts direct. Some dealers put them on as a dealer installed option......

My 2LT came with them when I got it. Dealer did not mention adding them themselves (you would think they would say something if they added them on their own) nor did I see anything about them on any invoice I got. Mine was a Dec/Jan car so maybe they started adding them to later V6 cars at the factory.

Didn't come on my 2lt/rs but I just added the two tone aluminum billet door sills from defenderworx. Extremely high quality and looks incredible. Really adds a nice accent to the sills
