Looking good Deputyand SS Panther. Deputy, bet you are glad that the emergency brake worked. I would have been too nervous parking on a slope facing the water with no curb to stop the car from rolling and going for a swim lol.

You are for sure correct! I was a bit nervous, applied the emergency brake and let of the brake pedal slowly. When I got out of the car I gently closed he door as I was afraid if I closed it with the normal push the e brake might just let go, jump out of park and in she would go.... salt water at that! God was watching over me.

I know what you mean about snow, was talking to my granddaughter this afternoon, she lived in Maine. They are calling for a couple of inches tomorrow. She leaves Saturday for Florida, hoping she stops in NC and stays here for good.

Wishing you all the very best!

April 18th.... today they are calling for a high of about 80 here at coastal NC, later this morning I will give her a wonderful soapy bath, wipe her down good and maybe a coat of wax. During my LEO career which was in the state of Maine I was so tired of putting my 68 Charger, 96 Impala SS or the 54 Chevrolet away during early October and not bringing them out until late April or early May.

Choosing to retire along coastal NC during 2012 was such a wonderful event. Here the roads are "flat" a dusting of snow is seldom but when it does magically appear its gone usually the next day. I actually am able to drive the SS or Camaro all year long!

The state of NC really wants me to drive them so to help with the cost of gas, which is about 20 cents per gallon less then Maine, they do not tax my military pension or social security.

Typing I have got my self aroused so it might just be "Top Down Wednesday"!

A wonderful day to all my Camaro friends.

Larry

Oh goody, another loud, slow motorcycle clogging up the left lane.

And before you think I’m anti-motorcycle, I’m not. I’ve owned over a dozen. Mostly European bikes: Ducati, aprilia, Husqvarna, & BMW. I never understood the “Harley mentality”. Make it louder, and ride in slow packs. It was soooo incredibly frustrating to be ripping along a nice mountain road on my aprilia, scrapping my knee and even elbow, and get stuck behind a pack of those things. If you can’t ride faster than the bikes behind you, move over and let the faster bikes by. The code of the true rider: don’t spoil another man’s ride. Jeez. I get not everyone likes sportbikes, but sport tourers these days are amazing. My BMW R1200ST was faster than any Harley, just as comfortable on long runs, and could scrape hard parts in the corners.

Take it easy, I did the sport bike stuff for a few years back in the late 80’s unfortunately when you age and fall it takes Longer to heal. I have a stage 4 kit, but it’s more about easy riding at this stage in life, we all get there eventually

Going from the tuck, doesn’t the feeet forward bother you? I rode a cruiser once and I hated the foot position. Sport tourers are where it’s at. If I ever got another bike, it’d be another of those. Fast & comfortable.

What did you have back then? I always wanted a ZX-11 graduating HS in 1989. I started on a Ninja 250 of course.

I used to ride the GSXR-750 with the aluminum frame. The foot forward and heel toe shift did take a little time to get used to. BTW I am still up on you by double digit numbers...
