Tire Pressure For The Strip
I'm on my way to the track right now, I have some MT ET Street II's 305/35/20. This will be my first time with these tires. What's a good PSI to run? 20? They're currently at 35.

I put them at 27 for today to see. Next time I might try 22/23. I'll post my 60ft later after I run.

Well...not any good results at all. Lost out in the 3rd round. Did not get a better 60' than a 2.1....I've gotten many 1.9's and even a 1.89 on my Nitto555R's that I had before these tires. I thought these were supposed to be a better tire? It was a cool day today as well. Not as cold as the night I went 1.89, but still.

We run 18 psi all day in these. Had these as my last set, they did rather well for me. Also could have been the track. No problem raceway? 20's don't have much sidewall give as it is, so 27 was probably a little high.

I have a set of these, i cut 1.6x 60's on them all day long.... and they stuck well enough that i popped the spider gears in the diff.

I had gotten the 1.9's without lowering my psi any. I think I was at 35 with the old tires. I'd have to go to a test and tune one night and lower my psi a good bit and see how 18-22 does for me. No problem raceway, in Belle Rose, La. Only track I've ever been to. I've always heard that it's not prepped the best.

I also only have around 400rwhp. Don't have much done to the car. A guy that came with me with a 650rwhp ZL1 was cutting 1.6x all day on the same tires and wheel set up.

Make sure you are doing a long enough burnout....

I was doing a pretty big one every time. And then one time I thought so anyone. Going into second gear as well. I thought maybe I was doing too big of a burnout so I did less of one and got an even worse 60'.

And these tires should be broken in by now...I've been running them on the streets for months.

Start at 20psi hot, they should hook hard with a good burnout. Don't waste your time at anything higher on a marginal track.
