Pro & Cons of TVS2300 Rear Cog???
As the title suggests, what are the pros and cons of going from the serpentine rear jackshaft belt to a Cog setup? I just shredded a new rear 14 rib for the first time. I hit the rev limiter like 3 to 4 times in first gear in the 1/4 mile with high boost and the belt blew about. 7 sec before the finish line. I know the Cog setup won't slip, and it sounds like the 30mm wide can get torn up super easy by hitting the rev limiter at all if high boost. I'd be interested to hear everybody's experience with the Cog versus power levels and especially if anyone's gone to the 50mm rear COG set up. I saw on one of the vet forums where when using the Lingenfelter rear tensioner that they would basically just tighten the Cog up by pushing down with their hand on the Idler.

Rev limiter could be raised to 7000 or 7200 from my current 6800 just to be sure its never hit safely.

No cons in my opion no slip and a nice super charger sound. I've been running the over driven set up for 4 or 5 years now.

If you're into the whole loud car, lumpy cam, open header, rednecky noises thing, sure. I prefer more refinement and less noise, but I'm over 40, so..

I'm over 40 as well. I have a nice smooth and quite truck that I drive mostly. When I feel restless I fire the beast up and I feel alive again! Loud, lumpy, smelly and stupid fast. Full of awesome.

I don't even notice the sound of the cog. I don't think it's that loud... or maybe I can't hear it over my exhaust.

Little increase in boost with with OD drive cog belt with the 3.8 pulley. The noise of the cog belt can belt can be adjusted a little. The tighter the belt the louder the noise will be. I did switch over to the od cog belt due to belt slippage.

oh yeah, you will need to swap or grind down on the passenger fuel rail so the 36mm cog pulley will fit

How does high boost and hitting the rev-limiter have a direct relationship?

i could be wrong, but the way i understand is that the heavy load on the blower at high boost combined with the rev limiter causing abrupt, repeated RPM changes that it over-stresses the ribs on the cog belt.
