Haven't broken mine, but last time I researched I found 2 VIN#s close to my VIN of 18267 that kinda worried me: 18678 and 18254..... didn't save the members names though. Running NT555R 305 DRs so far with no failure.

From post #17 to now... Mine broke yesterday... either the shaft or the tranny. I dropped it off at the dealer yesterday, service was closed, so I will be there Monday morning bright and early.
VIN 9691... I noticed there are a handful within 200 of my vin... looks like we were the first or early ones to get em.

Confirmed today.... busted output shaft... GM is replacing the trans this week.

I read his post in the drag forum. He was at the track and his car is cammed and tuned. That's good news for the guys with mods.

When did that happen? Mine broke in late August and GM demanded a ECM snapshot before authorising the warranty fix. I was told had it been tunned, no warranty.

I'm not sure if they had to flash mine back first to get approval or what.. it happened Saturday, approved today.

So you flashed it back. Did GM require a ECM snapshot?
