I need these cats soon. It's been a longggggg wait and I hope their estimate of a July release is correct because it's here. I haven't heard any word though and this is not good.

Yeah seems like empty promises. I was really wanting these as well, but will not drop $1000 on a set of CATs

Yeah, I most likelt won't be dropping $1000 on cats either. As much as I dislike midpipes, it is a cheap and predicable alternative. Let's hope PI pulls through with these cats, and for a muchhhhhhhh cheaper price than the cats in the link.

i dont think the promised cats by PI will be much cheaper, also it will not be real world tested.
The best cheaper alternative to go with is high flow ceramic core cats. However i'm still searching for those. And all my searches resulted in oval shape ceramic core cats. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2 |

Yeah, I wonder if PI will be releasing them at all now. I applied as one of the cars to test them out and I want to put them through some dyno testing. I'm assuming your right on them likely coating a good deal of money if they do get released.

They only come in 3"I have 2.5" . Does anybody know if I can step them down in such a short span?

I don't know. But check, they have two types:
- 350-500hp come in 2.5" inlet/outlet and 3" inlet/outlet. - 500-850hp come in 3" inlet/outlet and 4" inlet/outlet. Stepping down leads into increased pressure and velocity. Stepping up leads into into lower pressure and velocity. i think both of them will effect the cats efficiency if you step up or down before the cats, and that's why GM uses two cats in series. if you have LT header, probably the collector will be 3" and if your cat-back is 2.5". it's ok to step down after the cats. This is just my opinion. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2 |

Hey guys sorry for the silence. We are still doing this guys, just bare with us. We are currently doing testing right now. For the doubters, we currently have some installed on a twin turbo Porsche pushing 900 hp with no issues. We have also put some on a whippled camaro pushing 700 with no problems and just for kicks we put them on a twin turbo 572 pushing 1500 hp with no problems. We are doing in house testing right now before we release to the public testers for long term testing. A lot of different variables have to be measured before we push them out.
As far as price, they will be a little more expensive than regular high flows, not anywhere near $1,000. We bought some of the high dollar ones and studied and tested them and we couldnt see where or how they justified the high price. Believe me guys, we are working very hard on this, we just believe in getting it right the first time. |

Haha, good question. I don't mind the smell of midpipes, but I can't stand the sound. My car is obnoxious right now. High flow cats or stock cars make it sound much cleaner and deep, rather than raspy and really high pitched.

Bought the GESI/Vibrant cats going on car right now. Hope they hold up. Bought them for $390 each. Just have to shop around a bit.
