So, Justin has been collaborating with Corey and this is the result.. Note the divider.... The velocity of air entering would cause stacking of the air at the center, reducing the efficiency, so there is a divider installed that will do multiple things within the intercooler. It will create a high pressure are near the left center, and a low pressure area just past left center on the other side of the divider.... This will cause air to use the entire breadth of the intercooler increasing efficiency....
