Aitomatic transmission shiter assembly removal

As I was installing a new Alpine in my 2013 ZL1, I broke off the plastic, spring loaded mechanism that is attached to the shifter stem and covered by the shifter knob. After extensive web searching for the plastic piece, all I could locate was the whole shifter assembly (part #22894722) which houses the plastic mechanism. Has anyone repaced this assembly and if so, can it be done through the console without going underneath the car? Also, not sure how to remove the assembly as there are 4 pins without a hexhead securing the assembly to the transmission.
Much thanks for any help! I have to think this must have happened to other folks

I just took a look at SI. You have to do part of it from underneath. There is one bolt on the shift linkage, and four nuts on the bottom of the car.
