I'm still wondering about the dash. Is that dash in the car just for show? Because some time ago GM said 2012 would get a new dash. And i don't call putting suede over the old one a new dash.

Price

I may be way off but, I predict $59,999.00 plus

I'll keep my SS and maybe put a supercharger on it in 2012 and say a lot of money

Don't get me wrong .... it is BadAss looking!

Transformers front fascia. V-8 without a mail slot. But the hood looks way cool. Have to see if my stock hood can be modified to match that ZL1 hood.

I think that's an extreme prediction....but even if it's correct, this car is a TON more than a supercharger.

Price out how much it would be to modify an SS to all the specs of the ZL1, and I think you'll find the overall package to be quite the bargain!

the steering wheel looks like it came from the malibu...the reason they redid it...motortrend and every other mag complained about its ackwardness....should of put the vetts steering wheel in instead.....the engine bay looks sloppy...all those hoses just hanging out.......like the suede insert on the dash...im wondering if they did anything with the bushings to tighten it up....overall B- for GM

That "feature" might be a sound thing but when you listen to GM people talk, they will never state publicly that it does anything to improve performance (reduce back pressure). Look at this picture - this "feature" is just another pipe into the muffler chamber.

Anyway, I think it's interesting that John Fitzpatrick sort of confirmed the Z/28 as well during the recent Q&A...

This is relieving considering how much I love the ZL1, and knowing full well I can afford it, I'm much more inclined to hold out for the z28.

I know I'll probably have to wait a couple more years longer well the rest zoom up and down the streets in this beautiful car, but I can deal with it. Believing that I will be rewarded for my faith.

We all have Camaro syndrome, I just suffer from the z28 strand.

OK so I skimmed through 21 pages of this thing. To each his own, I know there are preferences and those are very personal....but the steering wheel? Really, that is the over all mind blower on this thread.

First of all the suede on the wheel and shifter are OPTIONAL. Second nearly every other brand that has a performance model has a steering wheel with suede and / or a flat bottom. Third, IT HAS 6 LIGHTS!!!!! I am really at a loss for words here.
