BOUGHT A 1969 HUGGER ORANGE CAMARO---NEW MOTOR PICS
I bought this car sunday and I am a old school guy and kind of set in my ways but I need some input from you all. I want to put a set of the rally wheels on this car. I had a car just like this when I was younger and I put 8 inch rally wheels on the back and put the 7 inch on the front. I put a fatter tire on the rear and I think it does not get any better looking than that. BUT,my wife and friends all tell me to leave these wheels that are on it but I think it does not look that great. I need all of you to tell me what you would do and what looks best. I am going to try and post some pics below but if not they will be lower in this thread.

Congrats on your 1st gen, looks awesome! What drive train is in it, and is it original?
I agree and would sell those wheels and get some rally's on there.

I got this car from a woman who got it in a divorce settlement. It has just a stock 350 in it. It has a 12 bolt rear in it but I have not yet checked which trans is in it. I know it is not a close ratio but she told me it was a muncie. I have a lift in my shop but I have not had time to get it on there yet. I hope tomorrow I can to see what it really is. She told me they bought it at a Leake auction last year but it is not number matching at all. I believe I will put a 383 in it and have a cam that you can hear cause that is what the cars are all about!

Cool! It looks real clean, not much to do with the interior. Enjoy it and good luck with your future 383 install. Nothing like a big lope cam coming from the tailpipe!

I'm old school too; I'd vote to go with the original rims. Fav color on the 1st gen; nice going!

looks like a Nice car. I like bigger wheels on the older Camaros, but I don't particularly like those!

Can't go wrong there. Now just drop the modern looking wheels and it will be awesome.
