noise in the rear...help
The other day leaving work I hit a small pothole on the back drivers side and I heard a noise .it sounded like one of my exhaust clamps were lose.I checked everything I could see and went over every bolt I could get a socket on,and still have the noise.checked the battery also.it's all tight.kinda sounds like two washers rattling around.any ideas?thanks for any input

Check the rear deck speaker, are those nuts tight? Check the rear spoiler if you have one to make sure that is tight too. Then look at all suspension bolts and just check for tightness.

I think the most common cause of noise in the rear suspension is the sway bar endlink. It connects the bar to the lower control arm.
If it's loose, hold the center with an Allen wrench and tighten the nut to 36lb/ft. |

Have you put the car in the air as in changing or rotating the tires? I noticed when I rotate my tires that when the springs are hanging (I am lowered too by the way), the rubber mount in the rear that is on the top of the spring, needs to be tucked back into the spring, and I often wondered if that was one of the squeaks I have heard before.
