1600 rear wheel horsepower.
Some guy in my town has a 76ish firebird in my town with a 502, then he sent the 502 to Boeing and designed a twin turbo for it. So it makes 1600rwh My dads gonna get to ride in it if he wants to. In a few months it should be in motortrend and someothers.

I have no clue how fast it will be. If you put the right money into it boeing would do it. They make turbo jets lol. My dad was drunk too. But he wouldnt have made that up.

Why would boeing build a turbo application for some guys car? Sorry, but there are plenty of 1000hp cars out there that dont go to boeing. Maybe the guy works for boeing and your dad got mixed up?

Yeah, boeing wouldn't do that for a car... I know a few car nuts that work for boeing and have never mentioned it.. plus, they don't just make airplane engines, they do a lot for the military.
Speaking of firebirds though, at the college I go to for automotive tech. students got a 85 firebird from a junk yard, rebuilt it completley from the ground up. No turbo/super charger on it.. just a small block chevy motor & it pulled 600HP on the dyno... I'll try and get a video of it sometime. It's the loudest car ive ever heard. I was 30-40 feet away and it idling made my ears ring. The teacher took it down the road to test it after we put a new dis. cap on it & he was about half a mile down the road and we could still hear the car & then he got on it real good and it was like sticking your ear to a muffler on a car.. It's insanely loud. |

Just wait, In a month hotrod magazine or motortrend is coming to take pictures of it. The owner said its do 0-60 in about 1 second. Im not sure thats possible. My dad said its boeing that did it and is pretty sure of it.
