has anyone worked for a car company?
I, like many others, am looking for a job. I am a full time college student but am looking for a part time job. Being an auto enthusiast I figured I would try looking at dealerships and such for a possible job. I am not looking to be a salesman, just something part time, possible minimum wage just to put some money in my pocket for gas and whatnot.
I was wondering what the best approach would be. Do I call them up and ask? or should I go in person and ask? How much skill level or experience do I need? I can do some basic mechanical work, the most intensive thing I've done is replace an inner tie rod bushing on my cavalier, just to give an idea. Thanks in advance. -James

after 12th grade, i worked at the gm dealer. it was a small place, so i just asked for the general manager, asked if he needed help doing anything & ended up with a job detailing vehicles. i also helped move inventory around the lot & pick up auction purchases. didn't pay diddly squat, but it was one of my favorite jobs!
