If you guys are interested in 5th gen T/A conversions there's a great guy here in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Here is the link to his shop and his conversion kit. He calls it the banshee. I've seen it personally and it looks awesome!

This is the best conversion, all the others look bad IMO

Aside from the exaggerated beak/splitter I aggree. Mix the fascia of this one and the titular T/A conversion and I think you'd have a real winner. Loving the honeycomb touch on the rear..

As much as I loved the firebird, I think it's time to just let it go. It's gone, and it ain't coming back unfortunately! BTW, did you see the prices of those '70s trans ams? Holy shmoly! I remember when you could pick up the exact same cars for like 4 grand!

There will be a day soon where a 1979 400 block T/A will fetch as much if not more than a 496 Chevelle at auction..

Friggin nuts.

I think this is the best looking T/A concept because they are basing a 1st car off of a 1st gen inspired car. All the other ones use the 2nd gen and it doesn't work.

Yup. That "restore a muscle car's" bread and butter is "smokey and the bandit" style T/A restoration and whatnot. His shop is amazing. There are usually 8-12 T/A's in there at any one time ranging from simply restoration to LS9 swaps.

My favorite one in there right now is this one. http://www.restoreamusclecar.com/res...ls?fdid=938643 I think he subbed out the paint job with all the flames and stuff but he's doing the rest.
