100% true. But then you run into a problem with raising the gears is that you won't stay under boost for as long since the gears are revving through faster and lose top end. The only way to build boost earlier in the rpm band is to run the smallest supercharger pulley you can find and bleed off the extra boost with a wastegate-like device or pressure relief valve attached to the charge plumbing but parasitic loss will be pretty big.

Well, actually I always thought that the big advantage of the supercharger is that it is driven by belt, so it produces boost from the beginning. All my turbo cars produced the boost later on (from about 3000RPM onwards), since they are driven by exhaust and the lower the RPMs, the less exhaust is there to spool the turbo. But since I am not that aware with superchargers, I might be wrong according to that centrifugal one.

You are thinking of a roots or screw type of supercharger (positive displacement). Check here:

Wouldn't the properties of coming in slower be much better for our chassis ? The turbo setups are traction limited, seems their issue is the power comes on to quick to be effective. This is the very offering I was hoping for, i think it will excell in drivability and will return better numbers in the 1/4.

The big question is, do we spend 6k on this or spend 12k and buy a 68 or 69 camaro with a decent chassis.
