Well, actually I always thought that the big advantage of the supercharger is that it is driven by belt, so it produces boost from the beginning. All my turbo cars produced the boost later on (from about 3000RPM onwards), since they are driven by exhaust and the lower the RPMs, the less exhaust is there to spool the turbo. But since I am not that aware with superchargers, I might be wrong according to that centrifugal one.
