I sold my SS and don't like to be without a hotrod for very long. I may just get a CTS-V coupe instead.

Congrats to everyone that is sign up to get one of these awesome cars.
I am sorry to hear that. However, your kind words, loyalty and positive outlook are admirable traits that will not be unaccounted for down the road. Positive thoughts equal positive results. When one door shuts, there is always another that opens up.

I would.
He did tell me too. He even said he would check with other dealers ,but I know it would mean a lot to be bought at his lot ordered under his name. You got to understand he isn't one of those large dealers like the ones on this forum that move a ton of cars. When he gets a corvette or some special car it's a big deal in the town I live in. That's one of the cool thing about living in a small town. You got to understand, he thought that he was going to be one of the dealers on the chopping block when that mess was going on. That's why I buy everything from him. I'm sure he will get one sooner or later anyhow. You never know, they might make some improvements on the 2013 if the GT500 ups the game.

Is this the same Crisswell Chevy in Gaithersburg Maryland that I placed
my deposit for back in Feb of this year for $1,000 and was promised the
MSRP by my salesman. Only to receive a call from that very same salesman
yesterday that they will be placing a 10K ADM on my car I ordered. Which is
when I could have been one of the early people to place an order with Becky
Rodgers way back when. Now because of there practices I'm basically screwed out of getting my 2012 ZL1. Please tell me your brother owns this company I can still get the car I was promised at the price it was promised
to me. I Know you mean well by recommending this company because you
had some good exp's with them in the past. But why don't you call your
friend up there and ask them what they would be willing to sell you a ZL1
for at this time. Then come back here and tell me again that you would
recommend them to the viewer's on this forum!

I was surprised when I heard the dealership I work for is only allocated 3! We sell a ton of camaros and corvettes. we are the #1 vette dealer in Houston, and we also sell Callaways and Hennesseys. weird. I knew this would be super limited at first and I even hinted so on another thread and got bashed.

They should only build ZL1 24 hours a day until all orders are filled, stop making cars that are not sold, second, third shift whatever it takes. Stupid not to make what people want to buy. If I owned a dealership I would be mad as he**.

Oh well stupid is as stupid does.

This is a partial year run and Chevrolet is being realistic about ramping up production of a new model. Remember they start building 2013's in June/July.

Looks like 2012's will be somewhat rare due to production capacity. Hopefully, this will ease in 2013 and people will be able to get what they want.

I still think affordability will limit sales anyway. Look at ZR1's, they started out with huge premiums, now they are often deeply discounted.

Our society does not encourage patience and we all want it now. If you want the first one in your city it can be had for $$$$$. If you are patient it should work out.

I think what they are trying to do, at least at first, is help as many dealerships get their hands on a ZL1, 3000 for the first run is (Kind of) limited, but it won't be that way for long.
I also am pretty sure thats not the only dealer in Houston who is getting ZL1's
