ZL1 Heel & Toe Driving
I could do this fairly well in my SS, but just can't get it in the ZL1. Seems like the pedals don't line up right. Yes, I've looked at videos. Anyone else find this to be an issue with this car or have any tips?

I have found it to be tricky as well. It seems the heel of my right foot catches the floor and not the gas pedal. What helped on my last track day was to place my foot higher on the brake pedal (closer to the center of my foot vs the toes) and then rotate/roll the back of my foot around to blip the gas with the heel.
Large or thick sole shoes will also make the process more difficult. You can try rolling your foot over and using the side of your heel, or rotating your foot around and use the bottom of your heel. Once you find a way to make it work, then practice, practice, practice..... |

LOl, I was thinking maybe I need a 2" heel. I'll try to dig a pair of old disco shoes out of my closet this weekend.

my first autocross there was a 70year old guy that refused to put on shoes. he had a 1975 helmet that was painted with the most gold metal flake i have ever seen. he wheeled a triumph tr6 to a FTD (fastest time of the day).
in my car i got to ditch the skater shoes for a set of pumas |

Try to use the ball of your foot over edge of the brake pedal, just enough to trail brake! The outside portion of the foot on the throttle and then "blip the throttle". I know it sounds weird but it does work. Of course it helps to have a wide foot and is easier with driving shoes on.
