VMAX vs Bo White throttle body.
Hi guys.. So after headers now it's time to upgrade the throttle body. After doing some reading two brands came up but I'm not sure which one I should go with. VMAX or Bo White? Which one you guys have and is there really a difference between the two when it comes to throttle response improvment ? What you guys think I'd like to hear your opinion .

Both are good choices, but with Bo you have the option to do half shaft mod. The half shaft mod allows for more air to enter which will compliment your headers and any other performance mods you decide to add down the road. Keep in mind that Bo is not currently accepting stock throttle bodies, so you'll have to purchase a throttle body from him at full price.

Tuned a 2014 Chevy SS last week. He brought a BW unit with him which I install. Looked nice. I was calibrating it with a cold air intake. After the tuning session, the Camaro car goes into reduced power mode from over porting. He makes it home an additional 20 minutes and changed back to the stock unit, and the problem and CEL goes away

He is a vendor for VMAX, do your own research, think for yourself, and make the best decision for you and your car...
I have never heard one bad thing about Bo White or VMAX, funny that my tuner never came up with those results... I personally don't think you can go wrong with either of them...

I would like to see some kind of dyno comparison between the VMax and the BW throttle bodies. I will say that I did have a VMax TB on my '12 LFX and it worked great.

Compared to every ported TB Ive ever had in my hand from somewere else all of my stage 2 TBs are overported. Mine are all ported the same.
Theres alot of good porting out there to choose from.

Everything I've heard about Bo and/or Vmax has been top notch. I don't think you can go wrong with either. I got a VMax right after buying my car and it certainly makes a difference.
However, if I had it to do over I'd get a Vitesse Throttle Controller first ($175) and see if that does the job for you. I'm not knocking the PTBs, but the VTC delivers terrific results in throttle response.

Oh well since Bo is not taking core returns, I'm gonna go with a Vmax

Never had any experience with VMAX, but I would say go Bo! I did and I don't regret it for one second! My L99 will now do burnouts and it actually feels like I have 400+ hp now!
