Not sure what work you had done, the carbon fiber hood insert is already made of carbon fiber. What "layering" was he doing? Sounds like a scam.

Scam is a good word about the whole process including what others have experienced so far! I have come up with numerous other words but will refrain myself.

I filed a complaint with the BBB in G3 Carbon's area today (I suggest those who have been conned do the same). I also filed a complaint with ripoffreport.com and am tempted to contact the Florida AG office as this "business" appears to be nothing more than a scam. Feel free to chime in here if you have been affected:

I'm surprised to see all this because Alan has always got back to me and has stated he will repair the things I am not happy with whenever I have time to get them off the car.

Matt,
Alan has been always great to deal with, but he never delivers... It appears that he takes care of his local people first, the common theme is that all of the customers that have had delivery or quality issues have been from outside Florida... Don't know what to say, but i am still waiting on emblems that I ordered 10 months ago.... Every few weeks it's "They are going out today!"

Matt,

I have a great idea, why don't you swing by his shop if you are local and grab our parts that we have paid in full. I'm sure everyone on this forum would gladly pay shipping!

I could write a book, the guy is either so out of his element or he is a crook. I have all the documentation to back it up. I threatened reporting him to the better business bureau and pay pal. All of the sudden he has a shipping reciept. In the end I came out ahead because of kharma and I am sporting a beautiful Moreno Bros spoiler!

I'm going to throw a party if I ever get my hood insert back! My car has been minus my insert since the end of September!

I am not opposed to bringing it up to him and see what happens. Unfortunately I am out of town for the next week and a half. When I take my parts off and ring them to him I will talk to him.

This should be good? Can't wait to hear the excuses.

There was a site that had the insert posted for 399.00, why don't you just buy that instead of messing around?

Still waiting on a set of carbon fiber tail light bezels and a rear spoiler. Its been two months already, everything is paid in full even shipping. Doesn't respond to calls or emails. It sucks to say the least.

I ordered a new insert from TruCarbon, but it's on backorder until the end of August. I bet I get this one before I see anything from G3 Composites!
